Document Solutions Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager in the Document Solutions Team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our key vendors/partners, working with customers and support in post-sales activities. You will support Account Managers, vendors and the wider team to continue the growth of the pillar.  Bechtle encourages and supports you to develop the role in alignment with market changes/trends.

 

Job Role Responsibilities

 

  • Proactively hunt new business within our existing customer base within the Document Solutions portfolio and offer complementary products and services.
  • Understand solution selling and continue building Bechtle’s Document Solutions strategy, with templated offerings and services
  • Educate and train Account Managers on how to position our key Document Solutions packaged solutions
  • Actively manage and update our solutions portfolio, covering all areas.
  • At a high-level, understand the breadth and depth of key vendor product portfolios, how it sits within the market and the wider competitive landscape
  • Create and maintain customer relationships with key stakeholders
  • Create and maintain relationships with key vendors, distributors and surrounding service partners
  • Actively manage and update pipelines and forecast accordingly
  • Create and collaborate with marketing on focused campaigns/events
  • Invoicing and daily running of Document Solutions pillar
  • Proactively deliver product updates from the Document Solutions pillar on key product information, incentives and general announcements that ensure we are maximising the profitability of a solution and providing accurate information into customers
  • Manage the MIF base including serial numbers, contract information and customer data
  • Monitor and manage customer success in post-sales

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • University degree or good A-Levels preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where hard work and fun are the key ingredients.
  • Understanding of print landscape either through managed print, productions or digital solutions (preferred)
  • Must be organised, adaptable, flexible and a good team player.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to manage and track lead generation and a sales pipeline through CRM or a sales management system.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to develop and implement business plans in line with overall company objective

Experience

 

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the technology industry is required.
  • Proven track record in consultative selling and winning new business.
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
  • Understanding of enterprise computer hardware, software, and solutions (preferred).
