This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, driven individual to support the growth of our Modern Workplace business. You will be a key member of the Modern Workplace Pillar, that sits within our Technical Pre-Sales function of Business Solutions and Services. Bechtle UK’s Modern Workplace pillar is centred on delivering end user facing technology, ranging from lifecycle management services, modern meetings and document solutions.

 

Role Description:

 

The Modern Workplace Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the growth and development of our modern workplace solutions. This is a diverse role that involves managing a wide range of technology solutions, creating and executing innovative marketing strategies, and providing enablement and support on Bechtle delivered Services. You will work closely with various departments to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless integration of solutions, ultimately enhancing customer and account manager engagement and satisfaction.

 

 

Job Role Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and develop key services and solutions including, joiners, movers and leavers, internal delivered services and sustainability-oriented solutions
  • Work across all areas of Modern Workplace to create a unified message and go to market, you will link to wider Pre-Sales teams such as Interiors, Document Solutions and Security, for joint collaboration activities/initiatives.
  • Support Account Managers in proposal creation and tender responses.
  • Regularly train and educate Account Managers on our Modern Workplace portfolio and solutions available. Provide training resources to enhance their ability to sell.
  • Proactively support Account Managers in new business initiatives. Alongside Marketing, you will create and execute campaigns and events to generate leads and awareness
  • Create engaging and informative content to support the go-to-market efforts, including presentations, case studies and marketing collateral to help simplify and encourage Account Managers to utilise the Modern Workplace Pre-Sales team
  • Maintain and update our strategy, portfolio, and templates, in alignment with market trends and customer needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to ensure our offerings remain cutting-edge and competitive
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, and act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.

Job Requirements

 

  • Organised and comfortable with handling variety in the role
  • Adaptable, flexible and a good team player.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Good analytical skills, able to make sense of data and report on it.
  • Ability to manage and track lead generation and a sales pipeline through CRM or a sales management system.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to develop and implement business plans in line with overall company objectives.
  • Creative and driven to build go to market plans and launch new offerings to account managers and customers

Experience

  • Baseline understanding of Modern Workplace technologies and services such as end user computing, meeting rooms and lifecycle management is preferred but not essential
  • Experience working in the IT channel
