As a Cyber Security Analyst at Bechtle, you will work within the Post Sales Security team, alongside Bechtle UK’s CISO, you will help ensure that our professional and managed service customers have a resilient and robust technology estate. You will be a hands-on technologist with proven experience across a range of both on-premises and cloud-based systems/services, coupled with exposure to various security architecture, technologies, controls, processes, procedures and governance. You will strive to continually harden and enhance our customers IT systems and overall approach to cyber security, and will be effective at conducting assessments, working with third-party suppliers/partners, consulting with customers and deploying, operating and maintaining security systems/services.
In order to be suitable for this role, you must be an accomplished Cyber Security Analyst or equivalent, with a proven track record of delivering secure, compliant and robust systems and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic team person to join an area growing at significant pace and help build/maintain a first-class portfolio of security services.
Job Role Responsibilities
oWork with Bechtle UK CISO to establish/maintain best practice security services/controls for our customers.
oProvide cyber security incident first response to analyze, mitigate, remediate and recover from customer threats.
oProvide consultation to our customers on security systems, services, controls and industry/Bechtle best practices.
oUndertake security-focused project work (consult, design, deploy customer security systems and services).
oManage/monitor security alerts/notifications triggered by customer security systems and services.
oRun routine security reports to understand customers’ current security posture, taking appropriate actions and providing recommendations.
oUndertake vulnerability assessments and related remediation work.
oEnsure that new Managed Service customers are aligned with our security best practices as part of the onboarding process.
oAssist with responding to customer security-related questionnaires and tenders.
oAssist with maintaining Bechtle’s own internal security standards including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials, which includes CE, CE+ and our CE Certification Body status.

Experience
o3+ years’ experience in a similar role (i.e. SOC Analyst, Security Analyst).
oExposure to securing a wide range of technologies, systems, services and devices.
oExperience using Azure and Microsoft 365 is desirable.
oSecurity-related certifications including Security+, CySA+, CCSP, SSCP, CISA or similar would be advantageous, but not essential.
oBroad understanding of technology solutions in corporate environments.
oExperience working in a managed service environment, distinctly advantageous
